Working Together on Your Retirement Plan
If you’re approaching retirement and want help turning your savings into a clear, thoughtful plan, this page will give you a sense of how I work and whether it’s a good fit.
Most of the people I work with have done a good job saving.
What they’re looking for is clarity around how everything fits together.
Retirement comes with a series of decisions. When to retire. How to generate income. How to respond to market changes. How to adjust as life evolves.
My role is to help you think through those decisions in a structured, steady way.
Who I Work With
I typically work with people who are in a similar stage of life:
- Within about 5–10 years of retirement
- Recently retired and adjusting to a new phase of life
- Looking to turn their savings into a sustainable income plan
- Interested in ongoing guidance, not just a one-time recommendation
What We Focus On
From there, the work tends to focus on a few key areas:
- Turning savings into a reliable income stream
- Structuring withdrawals in a thoughtful, tax-aware way
- Managing investments in the context of your overall plan
- Navigating market volatility without losing focus
- Adjusting the plan as your life and priorities change
These decisions are connected. A change in one area often affects the others.
A good plan helps bring those pieces together.
How the Process Works
If we decide to move forward, here’s what the process typically looks like in practice:
1. 15-Minute Call
A brief introductory call to get a sense of your situation and what you’re thinking about. This is a chance to ask questions and see if it makes sense to continue.
This is typically best for those within 10 years of retirement or already retired.
2. Get Acquainted Meeting
A more in-depth conversation where we talk through your goals, priorities, and how you think about money.
This is also an opportunity for you to see what a completed financial plan looks like and get a better sense of what it’s like to work together.
3. Getting Organized
At this stage, we gather and organize the key pieces of your financial picture.
I’ll guide you through what’s needed and help make the process as straightforward as possible so we can begin building your plan on a solid foundation.
4. Your Plan
We walk through your financial plan together, focusing on how the different pieces fit and what it means for your decisions going forward.
This is a collaborative process. We’ll talk through any adjustments and refine things so the plan reflects your goals and priorities.
5. Ongoing Guidance
Retirement isn’t static. As your life evolves and markets change, we revisit the plan and make thoughtful adjustments over time.
The goal is to help you stay organized, make informed decisions, and move forward with confidence.
What It’s Like to Work Together
My goal is to make the process feel:
- Clear, not overwhelming
- Thoughtful, not reactive
- Organized, not scattered
- Focused on long-term outcomes, not short-term noise
Most conversations are centered around helping you make decisions with more confidence and less stress.
A Thoughtful, Ongoing Relationship
This isn’t about making a single decision and moving on.
It’s about having a framework in place and revisiting it over time as your life changes.
That might include:
- Entering retirement
- Changes in spending or priorities
- Market volatility
- Family or health-related decisions
The goal is to help you stay aligned with what matters most, even as things evolve.
Getting Started
If this sounds like the kind of approach you’re looking for, the next step is a brief introductory call.
No pressure. Just a chance to talk through your situation and see if it makes sense to move forward.
